Our Sourcing & Authenticity
At Beadacious, we know that colour accuracy, consistency, and finish quality are non-negotiable for your projects. This page explains exactly where our beads come from and how we verify what we sell.
How We Source Our Beads
We purchase our beads from established UK and European wholesale distributors who hold direct supply relationships with the manufacturers. Our core brands include:
- Miyuki – sourced through reputable wholesale importers who supply the European beading trade.
- Toho – purchased from recognised US and EU distributors.
- Matubo – sourced directly from MATUBO CZ supplying the Czech glass-bead industry.
- Beadsmith accessories and tools – purchased from Beadsmith.
We do not source from unverified marketplaces or unknown intermediaries. Every supplier we use provides trade documentation with each delivery.
Quality Checks on Every Delivery
When stock arrives, we carry out the following checks before it goes on sale:
- Colour matching – each new batch is compared against our reference samples to confirm colour-fastness and consistency (UPDATING PHOTOS ASAP IF ANY DIFFERENCE).
- Finish inspection – we check for surface uniformity (matte, lustre, galvanised, AB coatings) under daylight-balanced lighting.
- Size and shape verification – seed bead sizes and two-hole bead dimensions are spot-checked against manufacturer specifications.
- Packaging and labelling – manufacturer lot codes and weight are verified against the supplier invoice.
What We Cannot Claim
We are honest about what we are and are not. Beadacious is a specialist independent retailer. We are not able to claim official manufacturer-authorised dealer status for any brand unless that designation has been formally granted and verified in writing. We will update this page if our supply-chain credentials change.
